4 More Weeks...

Wow, it is hard to believe that I am already at 36 weeks (out of 40). Time sure flies. It seems like it was only a month ago that I took that pregnancy test... Everyone keeps asking me if I am tired of being pregnant yet. Honestly I am loving being pregnant... except for the fact that I can't look into my baby's eyes or hold him in my arms yet. I am pretty excited for that part. My pregnancy has actually been a super easy one. Most people can't believe me when I tell them how easy it has been.
Diedre, Ethan, and Erik are coming to visit, on their way to Mississippi, in about a week and a half. I am wishing that my baby will come a week or two early so that they can meet him before they get out to Mississippi. I think that would be really neat to have the two cousins meet, and both of them newborn. Well, we'll see what happens...

Eric Mower

Here is my adorable nephew Eric. Congratulations Diedre and Ethan!!

I'M AN AUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Little Eric Mower was born last night at 7:21 pm. 6 lbs 13 oz. 21.5 inches long. He has lots of dark curly hair. Diedre says that it is so long that it covers his ears and forehead. Little guy is already in need of his first hair cut! Now just anxiously awaiting them posting pics on facebook..... :-)

My sister, Diedre, was scheduled to be induced this morning at 7:30. At 8:45ish my mom told me they had just broken her water, she is 4 cm dilated, and 70% effaced. I haven't heard anything else since then... (I am extra interested in all these updates, because I am going to be going through the birthing process in about five weeks myself.) I can't wait to hear how things are going!! AAAHHH!! I'M GONNA BE AN AUNT TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just for the record... Diedre's baby present was finished night before last. It was done before her baby could make his entrance. Now the question is, do I try to mail it, and hope it gets to her before they move, or do I hold it hostage until they come down for a visit on their way to Mississippi in a week or two? It took me a good while to crochet it. I haven't done a blanket quite like this before (this is actually my second full blown crocheted blanket... no fabric all yarn...) so it took me a lot longer than I thought it would. I will post pics of it after Diedre gets it. I don't want to spoil it for her.

My 1st!

On Monday I am going to be hosting my first real party!!! I am so excited!

I thought it would be a lot of fun to bring my family over here for the 4th of July. Then I decided that it would be even more fun to host a BBQ potluck lunch for after the parade. So far I have about 25 people, give or take a few, on my guest list. I am rather excited about that. Even though I sent out a ton of invitations, I didn't that many people would actually come. I thought maybe if I was lucky only half that...

Now to get ready for all those people... yikes! I have to clean both bathrooms, I want to clean up one of the spare bedrooms for younger kids to play in, if they don't want to be in the heat outside, I have dishes to do, my kitchen blinds to hang, I need to clean Zach's honey-do stuff off the dining room table so we will have room for food, sweep, mop, laundry... man the list just keeps on going! And yet here I am at the computer writing about all that I have to do, instead of doing it. I probably ought to get my rear out of this chair and hit the house hard... maybe doing 15 minutes a room... yeah, that's what I'll do... I can do anything in 15 minutes.... :-)
